SAVORY PARTY BREAD

1 unsliced round sourdough bread
1 lb Monterey jack cheese, sliced
1/2 cup melted butter
1/2 cup chopped green onions

Slice the bread into cube without cutting all the way through. Insert cheese between cuts. Combine butter and onions and drizzle over bread. Wrap in foil and place on a baking sheet. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes. Unwrap; bake 10 minutes longer or until the cheese is melted. Serves 6-8
