SAUSAGE, HERB AND CREAM CHEESE CRESCENT ROLLS

4 oz softened cream cheese
2 tsp chopped sage
1/2 lb bulk breakfast sausage, crumbled
1/2 tsp hot sauce
1 (8 oz) tube refrigerated crescent rolls

In a small bowl, mix together cream cheese and sage. In a skillet, brown sausage, breaking up with a fork; stir in hot sauce and allow to cool.

Preheat oven to 375. Remove crescent roll dough and open the dough triangles so they lie flat. Spread cream cheese over each one and top with an even layer of sausage. Roll the dough into a crescent and transfer to a baking sheet. Bake until golden, about 15 minutes. Serve warm or at room temperature.
