PEANUT BUTTER SHORTBREADS

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
2 cups flour
Optional: 1/2 cup chocolate chips, melted

Preheat oven to 350. Combine all ingredients with your fingers until mixture resembles coarse meal. Press the mixture into an ungreased 8 inch round pan. With a fork, prick decorative wedges in the dough. Bake for 1 hour, or until very lightly browned. Cut into wedges while warm. After cutting the cookies into wedges, drizzle with melted chocolate.
