PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES

1/2 cup Crisco butter stick
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
11/4 cups sifted flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt

Cream together the Crisco butter stick and the peanut butter. Add the sugars and the egg. Mix thoroughly. Sift together the dry ingredients and add to the creamed mixture. Chill the dough. Roll into balls about the size of walnuts. Place 3 inch apart on a lightly greased baking sheet. Flatten until with fork dipped in flour. Bake at 375 for 10-12 minutes. Makes approximately 3 dozen cookies.
