Shelly's Recipe

*APPLE KUCHEN*

Crust
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/4 cups flour

Filling
2 (3 oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 egg

Topping
1 1/2 cups peeled and chopped apples
2 tbsp apple juice
1/4 cup sugar
2 tbsp packed brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp lemon juice

Top Crust
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/3 cup flour and packed brown sugar
1/4 cup butter

Preheat oven to 350. In a bowl, combine first 3 ingredients and gently beat in flour. Press mixture onto bottom and up sides of a 9 inch pie plate. Bake for 5 minutes. Cool.

Beat cream cheese, sugar and vanilla extract. Beat in egg. Pour over crust.

Mix topping ingredients and spoon over cheese mixture. Bake for 45 minutes.

Combine top crust ingredients and cut in butter to resemble coarse crumbs. Sprinkle over pan and bake 15-20 minutes.
