BAKED APPLE FRENCH TOAST

1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 tbsp corn syrup
2 apples, peeled and thinly sliced
1/2 loaf French bread, sliced
2 eggs, beaten light
3/4 cup milk
1/2 tsp vanilla

The night before, melt butter, stir in brown sugar and syrup. Spread in the bottom of a 13x9 inch baking pan. Arrange apples slices on top. Place bread over top of apples. Add milk and vanilla to beaten eggs. Pour evenly over bread. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

In the morning: Preheat oven to 350. Bake, uncovered, for about 40 minutes, until bread is golden brown. Serve with syrup.
