GARLIC CHEESE BREAD II

1 loaf purchased French bread
6 tbsp butter, softened
1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
1 cup shredded Asiago cheese
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 green onion, chopped finely
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 tsp Italian seasoning

Split bread loaf into halves horizontally. Mix ingredients together, blending well. Spread the cut sides of the bread with the butter mixture. Wrap the bread in foil. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes, then unwrap and broil until lightly brown. Cut into slices and serve warm. Makes 10-15 slices.
