CHOCOLATE LAYER BARS

Filling:
1 (12 oz) pkg chocolate chips
1 (5 oz) can evaporated milk
1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese
1/2 tsp almond extract
Crust:
3 cups flour
1 cup butter, softened
2 eggs
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp Almond extract
Mix the first 3 ingredients of the filling in a saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is smooth. Remove from heat and stir in the extract. Mix well; set aside. Combine ingredients for crust. Blend well until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Press 1/2 crumbs (not too hard) in greased 13x9 inch baking dish. Spread chocolate mixture. Spreading remaining crumb mixture over filling. Bake at 375 for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown. Cool and cut into bars.
