CREAMED SPINACH

1 cup water
1/2 pkg dry onion soup mix
2 (10 oz) pkg frozen chopped spinach, thawed

White sauce
1 cup half-and-half
1/3 tsp salt and garlic salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1 oz butter
2 tbsp flour

Bring water and soup mix to a boil in a saucepan. Add spinach; boil to heat through. Strain and set aside. Combine half-and-half and seasonings in a double-boiler and heat to scalding.

In a separate pan, melt butter. Stir in flour and add mixture to the double-boiler. Stir until thickened. Combine white sauce and spinach. Serve warm. Serves 4-6
