EASY PIZZA SAUCE

1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 cup minced onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 (28-oz) can crushed tomatoes
1 tsp dried basil
1 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp ground black pepper

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat on stovetop. Add onion and garlic; cook for 2 minutes. Stir in remaining ; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer uncovered for 10 minutes, stirring often.
