MONSTER CHOCOLATE-CHIP COOKIES

1 1/4 cups butter, softened
1 1/4 cups firmly packed dark brown sugar
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
2 3/4 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
3 cups uncooked quick-cooking oats
2 cups (12 oz) semisweet chocolate chunks
1 cup coarsely chopped pecans

Preheat oven to 375. In a large mixing bowl, beat butter until creamy. Gradually add sugars, beating well. Add eggs and vanilla, beating well.

In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually add to butter mixture, beating until blended. Stir in oats, chocolate chunks, and pecans. Drop cookies by 1/4 cupfuls onto lightly greased baking sheets.

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until lightly browned. Let cool for 2 minutes on baking sheets. Remove to wire racks to cool completely.
