ALMONDS AND BROWN RICE

Category: Rice/Risotto

1/4 cup butter
1 3/4 cups water
1 1/2 tsp instant chicken bouillon granules
1 cup long-grain rice
1/4 cup slivered almonds, toasted
3 green onions, chopped
2 tbsp soy sauce

In a skillet, melt butter. Add water and bouillon; cook and stir until water boil and bouillon dissolves. Stir in rice and return mixture to a boil; reduce heat. Cover and simmer 15-20 minutes or until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed. Remove skillet from heat and stir in almonds, onions and soy sauce. Serve with turkey or fish.
