SKILLET SMOKED SAUSAGE AND POTATOES

1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
2 tbsp water
1 medium onion, sliced
2 Macintosh apples, cut into thin wedges
2 tbsp butter
1 (16 oz) pkg frozen potatoes
1/4 cup cider vinegar
3 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp celery seed

Place sausage and water in a skillet. Cover and cook approximately 8 minutes. Remove to a plate. Cook apples and onions in skillet with butter until tender, about 5 minutes. Place with sausage on plate and cook potatoes in remaining butter until golden brown. Return sausage, apples and onions to pan. Combine cider, sugar and celery seed and pour over mixture. Cook until heated through; stirring gently. Serves 4
