HAM-AND-ASPARAGUS CASSEROLE

3 cups uncooked ziti pasta
1 lbs fresh asparagus
2 carrots, scraped and cut into 1/8-inch strips
1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
1 cup frozen green peas
1/2 lbs hickory-smoked deli ham, thinly sliced and cut into 1/2-inch pieces
1 (10 3/4-oz) can cream of celery soup
1 (10 3/4-oz) can cream of chicken soup
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp salt
1 sleeve buttery round crackers, crushed
1/4 cup butter, melted
Preheat oven to 350. Cook pasta according to pkg directions; drain and set aside.
Snap off tough ends of asparagus; discard tough ends. Cut asparagus into 1-inch pieces.
In a large bowl, combine asparagus and remaining ingredients except for crackers and butter. Add pasta, tossing gently to combine. Spoon into a greased 13x9 inch baking dish.
Combine crackers and melted butter; sprinkle evenly over casserole. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until heated through. Serves 8-10
