GLAZED STRAWBERRY-RHUBARB PIE

1 1/4 cup sugar
Dash Salt and pepper, to taste
1/3 cup flour
2 cups fresh strawberries
2 cups fresh rhubarb, cut in 1 inch pieces
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp sugar
Pastry for 2 crust pie
Combine first 3 ingredients. Arrange half the strawberries and rhubarb in pastry-lined pie pan. Sprinkle with half the sugar mixture. Repeat with remaining fruit and sugar mixture. Dot with butter. Top with remaining crust and flute edges and make steam vents on top. Brush pie with cold water and sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 425 for 40-50 minutes or until rhubarb is tender and crust is browned.
