PASTA ROMANO

8 oz linguini, cooked al dente
2 tbsp butter
1 cup chopped ham or prosciutto
3 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
1 1/2 cups light cream
1 (10 oz) pkg frozen peas, thawed
1/2 cup grated parmesan or romano cheese
While pasta is cooking, in a large skillet, melt butter. Add ham and mushrooms, cook 3-5 minutes or until tender. Add ham and mushrooms; cook 3-5 minutes or until tender. Add cream and heat to boiling; reduce heat. Cook 6 minutes or until liquid is reduced by half; add peas. Toss with hot cooked pasta and cheese. Serve with additional cheese. Serves 4
