SAUSAGE AND WILD RICE CASSEROLE

1 box long grain and wild rice mix, cooked according to package directions
1 lb bulk Italian sausage
1 cup chopped onion, green bell pepper and celery
1 (8 oz) can water chestnut slices, rinsed and drained
1 (4 oz) can mushroom stems and pieces, drained
1 can cream of mushroom soup

While rice is cooking, crumble and brown sausage. Drain. In some reserved fat, saute vegetables until tender. Combine all ingredients and mix well. Pour into a casserole dish. Bake at 350 until heated through.
