ESCALLOPPED CABBAGE

4 cups cooked cabbage
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1/4 cup finely minced onion
1 cup white sauce
1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
Salt and pepper

Combine first 3 ingredients and place in a baking dish. Top with cheese the sauce and season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with bread crumbs and bake, uncovered, at 400 until browned. Serve hot.
