TENDERIZING MARINADE for Roasts

Category: Marinades

3 cups water and cider vinegar
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1 lemon, thinly sliced
4 onion, sliced
12 whole cloves
2 bay leaves
1/4 tsp pepper
1 1/2 tsp salt

Comibne ingredients and keep at room temperature for 2 hours. Add roast, cover and refrigerate 2-3 days. Turn meat each day. Remove from refrigerator and allow to come to room temperature before roasting, about 4 hours.
