SWEET BALSAMIC AND RED ONION MARINADE for Vegetables

Category: Marinades

2 tbsp finely chopped red onion
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp dry mustard
1/4 tsp Salt and pepper, to taste
1/8 tsp pepper
3 tbsp balsamic vinegar
2 tbsp water
1 tbsp vegetable oil

Combine ingredients in a bowl. Whisk to mix until smooth and sugar is dissolved. Pour mixture over slightly steamed and cooled asparagus spears, sliced tomatoes or cucumbers. Let stand at room temperature for 14 minutes to marinate before serving.
