BROWN SUGAR COATING for Ham

Category: Glazes

2 tsp ground cloves
2/3 cup packed brown sugar
2 1/2 tbsp dry sherry, red wine or cider vinegar

During last 10-15 minutes of baking, sprinkle cloves over trimmed ham. Combine brown sugar and sherry and then brush over ham. Bake until coating is golden and crusty. Allow ham to rest before slicing. Enough for a 10-12 lb ham
