SHORT RIBS

4-6 meaty short ribs
1 beef bouillon cube dissolved in 1/2 cup boiling water
1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
1/2 cup red wine
2 tbsp vinegar
1 tbsp dried parsley flakes and mustard
1 tsp prepared horseradish
1 large bay leaf, broken up
1 small yellow onion, chopped
Salt and pepper, to taste

Mix ingredients except ribs. Place ribs in a single layer in a flat oven-proof dish. Pour marinade and let stand for several hours or all day, turning ribs occasionally. When ready to cook, cover and bake at 350 for 1 hour; remove cover and turn ribs and bake uncovered 30-45 minutes more. Serves 4
