ITALIAN PORK CHOPS IN WINE SAUCE WITH MUSHROOMS

4 (6 oz) center-cut pork chops
1 small onion, sliced
1 (8 oz) pkg sliced mushrooms
8 clove garlic, minced
1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce/
2 tsp tarragon vinegar
8 tbsp olive oil
2 cups dry white wine
1 tsp tarragon and marjoram, crushed

Marinate chops in next 3 ingredients for 4 hours. Heat oil in a skillet; sauce onions until clear or starting to brown. Add spices to pan and stir. Make a bead of onions and lay chops on top. Add salt and pepper. Add wine, cover pan and simmer 20 minutes. Turn chops and cover with mushrooms. Replace cover and simmer 20 minutes. Remove chops from pan and put onto plates. Mix ingredients in pan, reduced to half. Cover chops with onion mixture and mushroom mixture. Serves 4
