DARK CHOCOLATE MOUSSE CAKE

Cake
1 3/4 cups sugar
1/2 cup butter, room temperature
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp almond and vanilla extracts
1/3 cup vegetable oil
4 eggs
3 cups flour
4 tsp baking powder
1 1/4 cups milk
Filling
1 pint whipping cream
1 (4 oz) pkg chocolate mousse mix
Dark Chocolate Glaze
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 cup chopped bittersweet chocolate
Cake: In a mixing bowl, beat together forst 5 ingredients until fluffy. Beat in oil, then eggs, one at a time, beating until mixture is very fluffy.
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour and baking powder. Add dry ingredients to the butter mixture and alternately with milk, beating well until combined, about 2 minuts. Lightly grease and flour 2 (9 inch) round cake pans. Bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool for 15 minutes before removing from pans. Split cakes in half.
Filling: Folllow directions from mousse package and divide the mousse between the cake halves.
Glaze: Melt together ingredients and stir until smooth. Drizzle over cake.
