ICE BOX BLACK FOREST CAKE

1 pkg, any size, vanilla instant pudding, prepared as per pkg
2 cups whipping cream
1/4 cup confectioners sugar
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
1 pkg of chocolate wafer cookies (Christie or Nabisco or whatever brand you like)
1/3 cup, approximately, chocolate milk syrup
Garnish, dusting of cocoa or grated chocolate shavings
Line an 8inch springform pan with a circle of parchment paper.
Whip the whipping cream with the confectioners sugar, and vanilla until peaks hold. Remove 1/3 of the whipped cream and reserve. Fold the prepared pudding into the remaining whipped cream.
Place a layer of cookies in the springform pan. Cover with pudding/whipped cream mixture. Drizzle on some chocolate syrup. Repeat with cookies and filling until all cookies and filling are used up, drizzling on chocolate syrup here and there. You should end with a layer of cookies. Smear reserved whipped cream on top. Dust on cocoa or chocolate shavings. Refrigerated at least 4 hours or overnight. Slice to serve. Serves 6-8
