CHERRY COFFEE CAKE

1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
1 cup sour cream
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda

Combine in order given. Spread half of the dough in greased 13x9 inch pan. Pour 1 (21-oz) can cherry pie filling over this; spread remainder of dough on top, then:

Sprinkle topping mixture over this.

Topping Mixture:
2 tbsp butter
1/2 tsp cinnamon and sugar
1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

Bake 45 minutes at 350.
