1 tbsp vegetable oil
1/2 cup minced onion
2 tbsp diced jalapeño
1 (8 oz) jar peach or apricot preserves
1 (12 oz) bottle chili sauce
1 1/2 (16 oz) pkg smokies, any flavor

Heat oil in heavy skillet or saucepan over medium heat. Add onion and jalapeño and cook until tender, about 3 minutes, stirring. Stir in the preserves and chili sauce, mixing well. Add the smokies and stir, bring to simmer, reduce heat and let simmer about 10 minutes. Keep warm to serve. Serves 12
