SPICY SOUTHERN BBQ CHICKEN WINGS

1 medium onion, finely chopped
3 slices bacon, finely chopped
1/2 cup Southern Comfort
2 cups ketchup
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp chili powder
Juice of 1 lemon
2 dozen chicken wings

Lightly brown onions with chopped bacon. Remove from heat, add Southern Comfort and ketchup; stir. Add remaining ingredients and simmer slowly for 10 minutes. Broil or grill wings, basting often with sauce.
