Mix together:
2 cups flour
4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups sugar
Add:
2 tbsp vegetable oil or melted shortening
1 cup milk
2 tsp vanilla extract
Nuts, if desired
Pour into baking dish. Mix and sprinkle over batter:
1 cup packed brown sugar and granulated sugar
1/2 cup cocoa
Pour 2 cups boiling water over top and bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
