THAI RIBBONS
Category: Grilled Starters
1 1/2 lbs flank steak
Basting sauce
3/4 cup teriyaki sauce
6 tbsp vegetable oil
3 oz fresh ginger, finely chopped
1/3 cup garlic, minced
1 1/2 tsp red chili peppers, crushed
Prepare basting mixture; mix ingredients. Cover and refrigerate. Cut beef sliced into 4 inch lengths and 1/4 inch strips. Make sure that meat is sliced across the grain holding the knife at an angle. Thread each slice onto skewers. Cover and chill. . Brush each ribbon with basting sauce. Grill or broil 4 inches from heat for 4 minutes turning after 2 minutes. Do not overcook.
