CHOCOLATE CHIP PEANUT BUTTER SQUARES

1 1/2 cups confectioners sugar
1 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 (18 oz) pkg refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough

Preheat oven to 350. In a bowl, combine first 3 ingredients; mix well. Remove cookie dough from wrapper. With floured hands, press half the dough in bottom of an ungreased 9 inch square baking pan. Press peanut butter mixture evenly over dough. Crumble and sprinkle remaining cookie dough over peanut butter mixture. Carefully spread as evenly as possible. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and firm to the touch. Cool 30 minutes. Refrigerate 1 hour or until chilled. Cut into bars. Serve chilled at room temperature.
