GALSAMIC-GLAZED SIRLOIN STEAK

1 lb sirloin steak, about 1 inch thick
1/2 tsp salt and garlic powder
1/4 tsp pepper
Pinch cayenne pepper
1/4 cup sherry
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
2 tsp honey

Season steak with salt and pepper; heat a cast iron skillet and add meat; turn heat down to medium and cook 4-5 minutes on each side to desired doneness. Remove from skillet; keeping warm.

In skillet, add seasonings, sherry, and next remaining ingredients and cook, stirring until the mixture is thickened. Return the steak to the skillet, and turn it over once to completely coat it with the glaze; transfer to a cutting board and allow to rest for 3-5 minutes, slicing it diagonally into thin strips, fan the stirps out on the dinner plates and spoon any remaining glaze over the meat. Serves 4
