CRESCENT PIZZA STICKS

1/2 lb ground beef
1/2 cu chopped onion
1 (6 oz) can tomato paste
1 (4 oz) can mushroom pieces and stems, drained
3 1/2 oz pkg sliced pepperoni, cut into fourths
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
2 (8 oz) cans refrigerated crescent rolls
1 egg beaten
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
Prepared pizza sauce, for dipping
Preheat oven to 375. Lightly grease a cookie sheet. In a skillet, brown meat and onions; drain well. Stir in next 4 ingredients.
Separate dough form 1 can into 4 rectangles, firmly press perforations to seal. Press each into a 7x5 inch rectangle. Spoon about 1/2 cup mixture onto each rectangle; spread to withing 1/2 inch of edges. Starting at longest side, roll up jelly roll fashion; pinch edges to seal. Place seam side down on prepared cookie sheet
Repeat with remaining can of dough. Brush with beaten egg; sprinkle with parmean cheese. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with pizza sauce. Serves 8
