CREAMY GARDEN SQUARES

1 1/2 cups baking mix
1/3 cups boiling water
2 tbsp sliced green onions
1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sour cream
1 tsp dried dill weed
1/8 tsp garlic powder
Mixture of fresh vegetables such as carrots, small pieces of tomato without seeds, or sliced mushrooms or shredded cheese

Preheat oven to 450. Mix biscuit mix, water, and green onions in a medium bowl until dough is soft. Beat dough quickly for 20 strokes. Press dough into an ungreased 13x9 inch baking pan. Bake for 10 minutes or until light brown. Cool.

While letting the dough cook and cool, mix cream cheese, sour cream, dill weed, and garlic powder until smooth. Spread evenly over cooled crust. Refrigerator for 1-2 hours or until chilled. Cut into 1 1/2-inch squares. Allow children to top the squares with their favorite vegetables or cheese. Refrigerate any leftovers.
