ASPARAGUS CHEESE BAKE

1 1/2 cups water and chicken stock
1 tsp salt
1 lb asparagus, tough ends removed and cut into small pieces
2 tbsp butter
1 small onion, chopped
3 clove garlic, minced
1 cup uncooked long grain rice
1/2 cup diced red bell pepper
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

Combine ingredients and pour into a 2 quart casserole and cover. Bake at 400 for 20 minutes. Stir and then bake an additional 10 minutes.
