CITRUS MARINADE

Category: Marinades

2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
1/3 cup olive oil
3 tbsp packed brown sugar
2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
1 1/2 tsp Dijon mustard
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice and orange or lime juice
1 1/2 tsp grated lemon zest

In a saucepan, cook sliced garlic in oil over low heat until it begins to turn golden. Remove pan from heat with a slotted spoon and discard garlic. Into oil in pan, stir in remaining ingredients and salt and pepper, to taste and cool marinade. Use for chicken or shrimp.
