ENCHILADA TORTE

1 lb ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 (28 oz) can diced tomatoes
1 (15 oz can tomato sauce
1 (4 oz) can chopped green chilies
1/2 pkg taco seasoning
12 flour tortillas
1 lb shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Combine beef and onion, browning lightly. Add next 4 ingredients and simmer for 15 minutes. Spread a thin layer of meat mixture in a 13x9 inch baking pan. Cover with a layer of tortillas. Repeat layers and add cheese for second layer. Repeat all three layers ending with cheese. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes. Serve with sour cream, salsa, and guacamole.
