BASIL VEGGIE CHEESE SPREAD

Category: Spreads -- Cold

2 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup melted butter
2 tbsp dried basil leaves and parmesan cheese
1/3 cup chopped almonds
1 envelope instant vegetable soup mix

Combine cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add remaining ingredients and stir until well blended. Pack into a wax paper-lined loaf pan or small bowl. Cover and chill 2 hours until firm.

To serve, invert on a serving plate and remove wax paper. Serve with bagel chips, black bread, cucumber slices or assorted crackers.
