CREAM CHEESE STUFFED SALMON STEAKS

6 salmon steaks, 1 inch thick, rinsed and patted dry
4 oz cream cheese
2 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
1 tsp dried basil
1 tbsp chopped green onion
3 tbsp butter, melted
2 tbsp lemon juice
Salt and pepper, to taste
Make a pocket In the salmon steaks for the stuffing; set aside. Combine cheeses, parsley, basil and green onion; blend well. Divide into 6 equal portions. Form each portion into a flat oval. Place one oval into pocket of each steak. Flatten opening closed with toothpicks. Place salmon on a well-greased broiler pan.
Combine remaining ingredients and baste salmon with mixture. Broil 4-5 inch from heat source 4-5 minutes on each side, basing occasionally. Serves 6
