1 cups shredded pepper jack or cheddar cheese
1 (3 oz) pkg cream cheese, cubed
1/3 cup butter
2 egg whites
30 (1 inch) cubes French bread (4-5 slices)

In a medium saucepan, combine cheeses and butter. Cook and stir over low heat until melted; remove from heat. Beat egg whites until stiff. Folld cheese mixture into whites. Dip bread crubes into cheese mixture, scraping off sxcess with spatula. Place coated bread cubes on a baking sheet lined with wax paper. Freeze until firm, 30-60 minutes. Transfer to plastic bags; return to freezer.

At serving time, place frozen cubes on a lightly greased baking sheet. Bake at 400 for 10 minutes or until puffed and golden brown. Serve immediately.
