PEPPERMINT CREAM FUDGE

2 1/2 cups sugar
2/3 cup evaporated milk
1/2 cup butter
1 (8 oz) pkg white chocolate chips
1 (7 oz) jar marshmallow cream
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/4 cup crushed hard peppermint candy
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp peppermint extract
1 tbsp crushed hard peppermint candy

Bring first 3 ingredients to a boil in a heavy saucepan, stirring constantly. Boil, stirring constantly, 5 minutes or until candy thermometer reaches 238 degrees. Remove from heat; stir in chips until melted. Stir in marshmallow cream and next 4 ingredients until blended. Pour into a greased 9 inch square pan. Sprinkle with 1 tbsp crushed candy. Cool and cut into squares. Makes about 2 1/2 lbs.
