APPLE CRUMB PIE

4 baking apples, peeled and thinly sliced
1/3 cup sugar
1 tbsp cornstarch and lemon juice
1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon, divided
2/3 cup flour
1/3 cup butter
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
Partially baked pie shell, about 10 minutes and cooled

In a large bowl, toss together first 4 ingredients, 1 tsp ground cinnamon and nutmeg until combined. Spoon into pie shell.

In a small bowl, combine remaining 1/2 tsp cinnamon and next 3 ingredients, cutting butter in until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in nuts. Sprinkle over filling. Bake on bottom rack in over for 25-30 minutes or until top is browned and apples are tender. Remove to wire rack to cool.
