1 cup rice, not instant
1/2 tsp salt
1 pint sour cream
2 tbsp sugar
10 oz sharp cheddar cheese, grated
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
Paprika

Cook rice as direct. Preheat oven to 400. Drain rice well and place half in a 1 1/2 - 2 quart casserole; sprinkle with salt. Top with half the sour cream, 1 tbsp sugar, half the sugar and cayenne. Repeat layers except for salt. Top with paprika and bake for 30 minutes.

NOTE: This can be prepared early in the day or a day ahead before baking.
