VENETIAN STEAK

Category: Steaks - Beef

2 tbsp olive oil
2 lbs round or chuck steak, cut into serving pieces
1 (16 oz) can Italian tomatoes
1 tbsp oregano
2 tbsp red wine , balsamic or red wine vinegar
1 envelope onions soup mix
Salt, garlic powder and pepper, to taste

Put oil in bottom of a heavy pot. Arrange meat on bottom and cover with soup mix and tomatoes. Add remaining ingredients and simmer covered, for 1 1/2 to 1 hours. Serve with hot rice or noodles. Serves 4
