CHOCOLATE ALMOND DREAM BARS

Crust
1 cup flour
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
Filling
1 3/4 cups sliced almonds, toasted
1 cup shredded coconut
3/4 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 tbsp flour
3/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 350. For crust, mix together ingredients until blended. Line a 13x9 inch baking pan with foil, extending foil over ends of pan for easy removal. Press cust into bottom of prepared pan. Bake 10 minutes.
For filling, combine dry ingredients in a bowl. In a small bowl, beat remaining ingredients until well blended and stir into dry ingredients, mixing well. Spoon over hot crust and bake 15-20 min8utes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean and is lightly browned on top. Cool in pan. Lift ends of foil to remove entirely out of pan and cut into bars while warm; cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
