KINGS ARMS TAVERN SWEET POTATOES

3 lb sweet potatoes
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar, divided
3 tbsp butter
1/2 tsp cinnamon and nutmeg
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup milk

Cook & peel and mash sweet potatoes. Preheat oven to 400. Butter a 1 1/2 qt casserole.

Hold back 2 tbsp brown sugar and add rest of ingredients to the mashed sweet potatoes. Turn into casserole dish. Sprinkle with 2 tbsp brown sugar. Bake 30 minutes.
