SWISS STUFFED CHEESE BREAD

1 loaf (1 lb) French bread
1/2 cup butter, softened
2 tbsp chopped onion
1 tbsp poppy seed
1 tsp seasoning salt
1/2 tsp lemon juice
1 tbsp prepared mustard
2 lb Swiss cheese, shredded
1 (4 oz) can mushroom stems and pieces, drained, chopped

Slice bread into 1 1/2 inch slices without cutting through the bottom of the loaf. Cut loaf across the top, perpendicular to the slices, again not slicing through the bottom. Mix all filling ingredients. Spread filling into slices. Wrap loaf in aluminum foil and place on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 30 to 40 minutes.
