SWEET AND SOUR MEATBALLS I

1 1/2 lb lean ground pork
1 cup bread crumbs
2 eggs
2 cloves garlic, finely ground
Dash Tabasco sauce
Cornstarch
1 lb ground beef
1/2 cup finely ground almonds
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tsp salt
Dash nutmeg
Mix all ingredients well except cornstarch; shape into meatballs the size of walnuts. Roll in cornstarch. Fry for 10 minutes.
Sauce
1 large can pineapple chunks
2 cups vinegar
4 tbsp cornstarch
1/2 cup soy sauce
1 1/2 cups sugar
Drain pineapple chunks, reserving 1 cup juice. Combine all ingredients including the reserved pineapple juice. Cook for 10 minutes. Add sauce to meatballs; serve hot in chafing dish. May be made ahead and frozen until ready to use.
Note: If using the 5 pound bag of frozen meatballs, then double the sauce recipe.
