LEMON BARBECUE CHICKEN II

Category: Chicken

1 (2 lb) pkg chicken pieces
Salt and pepper, to taste
1/2 cup butter

Sauce
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup lemon juice
2 tbsp grated onion
1/2 tsp pepper and thyme

Make sauce and let stand.

Melt butter and brown chicken. (Use stainless steel skillet because of lemon juice.) Pour sauce over chicken and cover tightly. Simmer until juices from chicken run clear

Alternate method: After browning, place in a covered baking dish. Pour sauce over and bake at 350 for 1 hour
