SWEET-AND-SPICY TEXAS PECANS

2 cups pecan halves or whole almonds, skins on
2 tbsp butter, melted
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp EACH ground cumin, chili powder
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper
1/4 tsp salt

Preheat oven to 325. Toss nuts in butter. Combine sugar and next 4 ingredients. Sprinkle over pecans, and toss. Spread pecans on an ungreased baking sheet; bake for 12-15 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes. Cool. Store in an airtight container.
